This carefully considered restoration of a Grade II listed townhouse in Paddington sought to preserve the building’s historic character while adapting it for contemporary family living.
The project involved the sensitive refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing fabric, respecting the architectural significance of the property and enhancing its long-term functionality. Original period features, including decorative mouldings, sash windows, and historic joinery, were carefully repaired and retained wherever possible, ensuring the home’s heritage remained at the forefront of the design.
Internally, the layout was refined to create a more cohesive flow between living spaces, balancing the elegance of the original proportions with the practical requirements of modern life. A bespoke kitchen and family area were integrated within the lower levels, while carefully detailed interventions introduced improved natural light throughout the home.
The result is a timeless and elegant residence that celebrates both its heritage and its future.
