A corner plot development presenting four luxury family homes in the borough of Croydon.
The architecture responds to its context by balancing features of the traditional gable form with materials and detailing of a more contemporary nature. In an area that is predominantly composed of detached homes, were able to successfully explore how a contemporary row of terrace houses could be integrated into the wider built context and redefine this suburban corner plot.

Vertical brick recesses subdivide the street façade into four, defining each individual home and bringing a human scale to the terrace. These shadow gap recesses are accentuated by a darker toned brick which contrasts with the lighter brickwork adjacent. Window frames are set back by a full brick to create further depth and interest in the façade.

The houses are generously set back from the street to create a sense of arrival and to enhance the privacy of each home. All houses have dual aspect living accommodation on each floor, and a large skylight above the living room draws natural light into the open plan kitchen, dining and living area.
